Sir, Prof, Chudi Obijekwu, B.A, M.S, Ed.D, LPC, LCADC, LISAC.

 

Following completion of clinical practicum at Meharry Medical College /Hubbard Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Chudi Obijekwu proceeded to Boston School of Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts where he completed his pre – doctoral fellowship (internship) in clinical psychology. He is licensed in mental health and addictions.

 

After graduation, he accepted a teaching position at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. Prof Obijekwu taught graduate and undergraduate psychology and addiction classes. He later became a clinical director for Francis Psychological Associates located in the district of Columbia. As an adjunct faculty at the University of Phoenix, Prof. Obijekwu taught a variety of courses, including DSM - IV to graduate students. He was a clinical supervisor at the Westcare Foundations, incorporated. This company specializes in the treatment of addictions.

 

Dr. Obijekwu's clinical style is to meet the clients where they are, understand their strengths, weaknesses, stuck points and treat them considering the mind, body and spirit (wholistic). He applies respect, collaboration, encouragement and sensitivity in working with clients. He takes clients' cultural world view into consideration when working with them. He has over 12 years of clinical experience working with adolescents and adults who suffer from mental illness and / or addictions. He helps clients find meaning, purpose and direction in life.

 

Dr. Chudi Obijekwu has a B.A, Business Administration, from Philander Smith College and M.S, Ed.D, Counseling Psychology from Tennessee State University.
